Job description

Entries must be submitted before: On going

We are passionate about what we do and how we do it. We are fair, we expect to be challenged, we always aim to improve, and we believe that we can. We do this by being creative, flexible, and supportive but also by being energetic and enthusiastic.

These are exciting times for the Westminster Society as we expand and offer more services to people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs in Camden, Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea.

You will be supporting individuals with disabilities to live full and active lives. The support will be varied and reflect each person’s health, communication, mobility, understanding, and current skills in managing their life as independently as possible. You are also key to enabling and celebrating goals and ambitions for the future.

You may or may not have experience working with people with learning disabilities but you will be able to demonstrate a friendly approach, reliability, empathy, equality and care for anyone with whom you are working, their families and your team.

The role requires flexible working as we offer 24 hour services. This will include working weekends, late nights, early mornings and bank holidays. You may be required to stay overnight at some services for which there is an additional payment.

If you can demonstrate the values and qualities people we support are looking for, are interested in a career in social care and want to join an award winning organisation then we want to hear from you.

What we offer:

We provide excellent benefits to our staff at the Westminster Society. They include:

  • In-house training (mandatory, service needs and personal development)
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Career development opportunities
  • Regular 1:1 supervisions and team support
  • Generous annual leave
  • Access to our new Employee Assistance Programme
